HOMECOMING 2009 DATES ANNOUNCED
Jot down these dates on your calendar - Nov. 19-22 - that's when Xavier alumni will make the journey back to campus for Alumni Homecoming 2009.
A usual this year’s celebration will honor the 16 five-year anniversary Classes of 1929, 1934, 1939, 1944, 1949, 1954, 1959, 1964, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999 and 2004, but all alums are encouraged to participate in the festivities.
Among this year’s highlights are the annual Alumni Banquet, Alumni Mixer and the 2nd annual Dr. Norman C. Francis Endowed Scholarship Benefit Concert featuring Xavier’s own Wanda Rouzan ’69 with special performances by Irvin Mayfield and DJ Captain Charles. These and all other reunion events will be held on campus.
Scheduled events include: (Nov. 18) Vesper Service; (Nov. 19) Alumni Sharing Knowledge Panel Lunch and XU Jazz Ensemble Concert; (Nov. 20) Board of Governors Meeting, Celebration on the Yard, College of Pharmacy Reception, Art Exhibit, Alumni Mixer and TGIF Alumni Party; (Nov. 21) Day of Service, Leaving a Legacy Seminar, Tailgate Brunch, Gold Rush/Gold Nugget Basketball and Alumni Homecoming Banquet; (Nov. 22) Alumni Mass and Continental Breakfast.
